G29 sDrive20i M Sport Roadster 2dr Steptronic 8sp 2.0T BMW is aiming to go from also-ran to front-runner with the latest Z4 sports convertible. Ditching the previous model's folding-hardtop design, the new two-seater has a lower centre of gravity than before and is further helped dynamically by a 50-50 weight distribution. Three engines "145kW/320Nm Z4 20i and 190kW/400Nm Z4 30i 2.0-litre turbos or, in the Z4 40i, a stirring, Porsche Boxster challenging 285kW/500Nm 3.0-litre turbo in-line six " cover various personas. Universal equipment includes a 12.3-inch customisable instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, iDrive controller, head-up display, wireless phone charging and real time traffic information. Fixed rollover bars complement the usual safety line-up headlined by autonomous emergency braking.
