In late 2020, all variants scored an updated exterior with sleeker full-LED headlights, a slightly larger kidney grille, revised front fascia and reworked tail-lights. 2.0-litre petrol engines (135kW/290Nm 520i and 185kW/350Nm 530i), along with the 140kW/400Nm 530d diesel have been updated, while the 390kW/720Nm 4.4-litre V8 xDrive M550i is overshadowed by the 460kW/750NM AWD M5 Competition and the track-focussed 467kW/750Nm M5 CS which accelerates to 100km/h in a stunning 3.0sec.
