2023 Hyundai Staria Load price and specs
The newest Hyundai Staria Load van, the Premium, will go on sale this month starting from $51,240 before on-road costs

Hyundai has refreshed its load carrier lineup for 2023 with the introduction of a flagship model, the Hyundai Staria Load Premium. This exciting new variant brings a touch of luxury to the working van, borrowing some features from the Staria people mover range, like LED lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless access, and an automatic tailgate.

Hyundai declared a price increase of $500 for the Staria Load range starting April 1, 2023. Unfortunately, Hyundai won't price-protect existing orders, so any deliveries scheduled for or after April 1 will reflect the price hike.

Inside the cabin, the Staria Load Premium switches the standard 8.0-inch touchscreen for a more sophisticated 10.25-inch unit from the Staria Elite, equipped with satellite navigation. It also introduces climate control air conditioning and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel from the Staria Highlander, which includes Hyundai's Blind-Spot View Monitor.

The Staria Load Premium extends its color palette beyond the usual black and white, offering Graphite Grey, Shimmering Silver metallic, and Moonlight Blue mica finishes.

This premium model comes with a price tag of $51,240 (before on-road costs), which is $5500 more than the regular two-seat Staria Load, and is solely available with the lift-up tailgate.

Under the hood, all Staria Load models, including the Premium, are equipped with a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine, delivering 130kW of power and 430Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels.

When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Staria Load series boasts a combined cycle fuel consumption of 7.0L/100km, facilitated by a 75L fuel tank.

In terms of dimensions, the Staria Load spans 5253mm in length, 1997mm in width, and stands 2000mm tall on a 3273mm wheelbase. Its cargo capacity ranges between 2340L and 4935L, depending on the model, with a towing capability of 2500kg for braked and 750kg for unbraked loads.

Hyundai stands behind its vehicles with a five-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty. The first five services, required every 12 months or 15,000km, are capped at $360 each.

Safety is a crucial aspect for Hyundai, and the Staria Load lineup doesn't disappoint. It holds a five-star safety rating from ANCAP, earning an 85% score for adult occupant protection, 65% for vulnerable road user protection, and 74% for safety assist. Impressively, the Staria Load achieved a Platinum rating in ANCAP's 2022 Commercial Van Analysis, surpassing the Mercedes-Benz Vito and Toyota HiAce.

The Staria Load is stacked with safety features, such as autonomous emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, blind-spot assist, and more. The Premium variant exclusively adds Hyundai’s Blind-Spot View Monitor.

This new addition aims to address some criticisms of the standard model while offering enhancements like bi-LED headlights, twin digital widescreens, and push-button start.

With a successful launch, Hyundai's Staria Load ranked as the second-best selling van in Australia last year, trailing behind the Toyota HiAce and leading the LDV G10. With these updates, Hyundai continues to fortify its place in the van market.
